Camp Brave Heart
When a child experiences a loss of a loved one, they need help dealing with the strong emotions of grief. Camp Brave Heart is a camp for children who have experienced a death of a loved one – a grandparent, a parent, a sibling or a friend. Even if the child seems to be adjusting well to the loss, many children still have concerns they may not feel comfortable sharing for fear of causing sadness to family members who are also grieving. This camp (for children ages 6 and up) will allow children to explore and share their feelings with other children who have experienced a loss – helping them to understand that they are not alone in their experience. Camp Brave Heart is free of charge, regardless of whether or not the loved one was with Cypress Basin Hospice.
2017 Camp Brave Heart dates:
Sulphur Springs – First United Methodist Church- June 8 – 9, 2017
Paris – First United Methodist Church – July 19 – 20, 2017
Mt. Pleasant – Trinity Baptist Church – August 2 – 3, 2017
**All camp times are from 8:00am-12:00pm
