Hearts for Hospice Ball

The 24th annual Hearts For Hospice Ball will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center.

The annual ball has served as the premier black-tie-optional event every year for more than two decades; and serves as the major fundraiser for the continued operations of Cypress Basin Hospice. The ball is held every year on the first Saturday in February and is presented by a volunteer group of individuals from the community.

 Camp Brave Heart

Cypress Basin Hospice hosts the 9th annual Camp Brave Heart presented by Everett Toyota of Mt. Pleasant. Camp Brave Heart is a day camp for children ages 6 – 12 who are dealing with grief from the death of a loved one. Camp Brave Heart is a safe place for campers to explore: Feelings, Emotions, Experiences, and Fun in a supportive community setting. Campers will be involved in arts, crafts, conversation, play, food and fellowship, and a memorial service to help them experience a sense of belonging and support in a welcoming environment. Click on the camp location below to fill out an online application for any of our three camps:

2018 Camp Brave Heart dates:

Paris – First United Methodist Church – June 7-8, 2018

Mt. Pleasant – Tennison United Methodist Church – June 28-29, 2018

Sulphur Springs – First United Methodist Church- July 12-13, 2018

**All camp times are from 8:30am-3:30pm

Because of community sponsors, generous gifts from individuals, and facilities provided by area churches, Cypress Basin Hospice is able to provide Camp Brave Heart at no cost to campers and their families. This year, Everett Toyota has generously donated $5,000 and is the presenting sponsor for Camp Brave Heart 2018. Camp Brave Heart is staffed with dedicated professionals and volunteers who are called to work with children and who seek to help children continue to mature in a healthy way physically, spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically.

Use the gifts and skills you have been given and make a lasting contribution to a child and through that child to our communities.
