25th Annual Hearts for Hospice Ball – February 1, 2020

It’s the first Saturday in February and you’ve just finished getting dolled up and dressed to the nines to head out for a night of dinner and dancing with over 400 of your closest community friends. This doesn’t sound like a typical Saturday night in Northeast Texas does it? Because it isn’t.
For 25 years the Hearts for Hospice Ball has been the premier annual fundraiser for Cypress Basin Hospice. Sponsors, donors, Cypress Basin Hospice employees, and community attendees come together for this black-tie-optional event and enjoy a night of fine dining and dancing, along with a live and silent auction. February 1, 2020 will be the 25th year this elite event has been put on by the Cypress Basin Hospice Board of Directors and Hearts for Hospice Ball Committee. In celebration of the 25th annual Hearts for Hospice Ball, you can expect an elegant three-course dinner prepared by Chef Enam Chowdhury, Owner of The Chophouse on Bankhead in downtown Mt. Vernon, full cash bar, live music, a photobooth, and live and silent auction items guaranteed to spark an interest for all guests.
Since the inaugural Hearts for Hospice Ball in 1995, over $1.5 million has been raised through this fundraising event to help fund medications, medical equipment, and medical supplies for unfunded hospice patients on service with Cypress Basin Hospice. In 2018, the average age of an unfunded patient on service with Cypress Basin Hospice was 60 years old and it’s no coincidence that the individual ticket price for the 2020 Ball is $125 each. Your seat at the event represents the average cost of one day of care for one unfunded patient. $125 per day provides the necessities that an unfunded patient needs, which does not differ in quality from our funded patients. You can rest assured that your evening of dining, dancing, and fun will contribute to enhancing the lives of our unfunded patients and their families as they are served by the oldest and most respected hospice agency in Northeast Texas. We may not be able to add days to their life, but we can help add life to their days.
The 25th Annual Hearts for Hospice Ball will be held Saturday, February 1st from 6:30pm-11:30pm at the Mt. Pleasant Civic Center.
